There are some things in life that should come with a
warning sign. While I love spices in my food I also have a limit on how spicy things
should be. Recently, I have been hearing
a lot of hype on a local restaurant that was featured in the food network show:
Dinners, Driver-in and Dives. I decided to check it out for myself. For a whole week I debated on what I wanted to
order and knowing that I would have to narrow it down was the challenge. At the
end I set my heart out on the Spicy Thai Burger. When the waitress heard my
choice, she gave me a merely courtesy warning by saying “it’s spicy.” Of course
I am stubborn and thought that she probably didn't eat too many spicy foods. The instant I saw the meat stuffed with Thai
peppers I knew it was a bad idea. After the first bite the words that came to
mind were: smoldering, ardent, and blazing hot. I only lasted about 3-5 bites of that meal as
I had to surrender because of its scorching heat.
Would I go back? Absolutely! I just won’t be ordering the spicy
Thai again. My coworkers both ordered different items that day and they both
enjoyed it. Aside from that the owner
made number of visits through each tables ensuring that everything was
fine. I just wish she would have put a
warning side under the title at its high intensity heat.
